Website Design Tips That Make You More Money
Yet if you want to be successful, you have to do more than create a page or two that took you five minutes to do.

Your website has to be good enough to bring visitors who find it appealing enough that they are inclined to buy from you. It does not have to be difficult to create a website that people will like and return to. Let’s look at some proven ways to build or improve your website so that you can make money with it.

Search for your competitors and take a look at some of their sites. If there is anything about these sites that you like, think about them or write them down. What qualities do you not like? Try to imagine that you are a regular visitor to this site; would you be tempted to buy from it? Why? If no, what turns you off about the site? Think about your answers and apply them to the websites that you are currently building. By putting yourself in a customer’s shoes, you can better figure out how to design a good site yourself. If you think like one of your customers, you can better decide what kind of website you’d be most likely to buy something from. There is no better way to decide how visitors will react to your first website than to put yourself in their place.

Limit the number of fonts that you use. Using many different fonts is a temptation that many new website builders give in to. The more fonts you use, the harder it will be for people to read your website. While using one or two fonts can be good for decoration, any more than that screams “amateur!” Your fonts should be easy to read at a single glance. Complicated or fancy fonts may look artistic, but they will not serve you well. As an internet marketer, making your site easy for people to read should be your first goal. You want people to be able to read and understand your products and offers.

The colors you use on your website are also very important. Many assume that using blue makes your site look more professional. Because of this belief, which has some truth to it, some new web designers overdo it with using blue. With so many websites using mostly blue, they tend to look similar to each other. On the other hand, don’t use too many bright or clashing colors. Clashing or very vivid colors will make some visitors quickly click away from your site. If you use one of the free online color matching tools that are available, you can check that your colors blend well and will make your site look good.

Creating a good looking website does not have to be difficult. Do it step by step and use your best judgment and you won’t go wrong. You’ll find that creating a good website is one of the best investments of time you can make, as it will bring you more profits. Remember, having a website is not enough. If you want to be successful online, your website has to be good.
